L-P Schools Featured in HSTW Best Practices Newsletter

The topic of the most recent Best Practices Newsletter from High Schools That Work (HSTW) is the Rural Literacy Design Collaborative in which L-P EVSD is participating along with Northwestern, Hillsdale, Black River, and Mapleton.  The project is funded by a Straight A Grant from the Ohio Department of Education.  Additional partners include Battelle, the Past Foundation and High Schools That Work.

There are two articles about L-P featured in the publication:  LDC Science Module: Kombucha Design Project (Mr. James Conley, Loudonville High School) and LDC Science Module: Battle of the Bacteria Blasters (Ms. Kori Aubel, Loudonville Junior High School).

LDC training across the five districts will continue, and will involve science teachers in grades 5-12.

L-P is including English teachers in the training for support with literacy standards.
