Monday, September 11, 2017, the Loudonville-Perrysville Board of Education accepted a donation from St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, McZena, Ohio. The donation was an automated external defibrillator (AED) valued over $1600. The unit is part of a fundraising program at the church in honor and memory of Spc Damon G Winkleman. Winkleman is an alumni of Loudonville High School who sacrificed his life in Afghanistan in September of 2009. St. John’s Church has donated 29 AEDs throughout the community, with this one being the 29th. Loudonville-Perrysville Exempted Village School District is proud to provide this added safe-guard to the school facilities in an additional effort to maintain the safety of all visitors. As of Monday evening, the district has six devices.
